Speakers
Brian Blackburn ("Caboguy"), Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Brian first visited Cabo in 1993, immediately bought a condo to which he commuted for the next 10 years until re-locating there permanently from Calgary in November 2004. The all-too-often cold fronts blowing over the Rockies helped him decide when it was time to "go to Cabo to dust!"
Living in Mexico full-time had its challenges in the early days particularily when buying groceries and consumer goods like appliances, furniture, bedding, and the like. Luggage consisted of toasters, microwaves, dishes, sheets, etc...now, big-box stores like Costco and Wal-Mart make shopping a breeze, just like in Canada and the States (Costco has a most spectacular view of Land's End!). Brian manages two websites - www.caboguy.com which provides a snapshot of Cabo...places to stay, eat, investments, activities, etc. and www.retirecabo.com with contacts for re-locating there...banker, lawyer, accountant, mechanic, insurance, etc.
His extensive knowledge of Los Cabos and experiences of moving to Mexico provide entertaining insights as to what can be encountered when embarking on a new chapter in one's life.
